Ultrasound has become one of the most effective and patient-friendly diagnostic tools in modern medicine. It is a versatile imaging technique used both for routine screenings (such as breast ultrasound) and for investigating the underlying causes of pain or other symptoms. The best part? It’s completely painless and radiation-free.

At our clinic, we offer a wide range of ultrasound examinations tailored to your needs.

Breast and axillary ultrasound

For women under 45, we recommend an annual breast ultrasound as an effective way to detect breast cancer early. It is especially important for patients considering breast augmentation, as it provides a clear baseline evaluation.

While mammography is the most widely recognized breast imaging method, it is not always ideal for every patient. Younger women often have denser breast tissue, which can make mammograms less effective and sometimes uncomfortable. Ultrasound, however, is a reliable, non-invasive alternative that can detect even the smallest changes—without the use of radiation.

Abdominal and pelvic ultrasound

This examination focuses on the abdominal and pelvic organs, helping to diagnose conditions and guide treatment. It allows a detailed look at the liver, gallbladder, pancreas, spleen, kidneys, bladder, uterus, ovaries, and even the lymph nodes near the abdominal aorta.

Abdominal ultrasound is particularly useful for investigating unexplained abdominal pain, detecting gallstones or kidney stones, and identifying other structural changes in the internal organs.

Thyroid and neck soft tissue ultrasound

With thyroid ultrasound, we can evaluate the size, structure, and any potential abnormalities of the thyroid gland, as well as its relationship with the trachea. Neck ultrasound can also examine the salivary glands and lymph nodes to help detect inflammation, tumors, or cysts.

Color doppler flow studies

Color Doppler ultrasound allows us to assess the blood flow in both veins and arteries. It is a valuable tool for detecting vascular issues, such as deep vein thrombosis (DVT) or fistulas. Additionally, Doppler studies of the carotid arteries can reveal circulation problems and help diagnose cardiovascular conditions.

Arterial and venous ultrasound with color doppler

This specialized examination is used to detect arterial narrowing caused by atherosclerosis and venous valve insufficiency. Ultrasound can measure the extent of calcifications, evaluate the degree of narrowing, and detect the presence of emboli—providing a comprehensive view of vascular health.

Breast ultrasound

Breast ultrasound is one of the most reliable and completely painless ways to examine breast tissue and lymph nodes. Thanks to advanced technology, our high-resolution ultrasound equipment can detect even the smallest changes before they become serious problems.

Because it is radiation-free, breast ultrasound can be safely performed at any age. It is especially recommended for younger women and those with breast implants.

  • From age 20: For anyone who notices lumps, pain, discharge, or other changes in the breast.

  • Under 30: Ultrasound is the primary imaging method of choice.

  • Ages 30–40: Often combined with mammography if symptoms or implants are present.

  • Over 40: Annual breast ultrasound, ideally in combination with mammography, for the most complete assessment.

Ultrasound is an excellent way to check the condition of breast implants, whether silicone or saline. It can detect fluid accumulation, ruptures, or inflammation around the implant—ensuring both breast health and implant safety.

Breast ultrasound is quick, simple, and requires no preparation. During the exam, you’ll lie comfortably while the doctor applies a gel to improve sound wave transmission. The internal breast structures appear on screen in real-time, allowing immediate assessment of cysts, lumps, or other abnormalities.

The entire procedure takes only 15–20 minutes, and you’ll receive a written report and a personal consultation right after the exam.

Frequently asked questions

  • Does it hurt? No. Ultrasound is completely painless and safe. It can be repeated as often as necessary because it involves no radiation.

  • Do I need to prepare? No special preparation is required. You can go about your day as usual before and after the exam.

  • Can it detect cancer? Yes. Ultrasound is highly sensitive for detecting both benign and malignant changes, though in some cases, further tests (such as biopsy or mammography) may be required for a definitive diagnosis.

Ultrasound is more than just an imaging test—it’s a safe, effective, and patient-friendly way to protect your health. Whether for prevention or diagnosis, our clinic is here to provide you with the highest standard of care.
